Research publication standard

Method, data, and limitations must remain visible together.

A polished chart or confident conclusion is not enough. The evidence surface needs a dated sample, inspectable procedure, uncertainty, and update responsibility.

Method

A repeatable question and procedure

Public research states the research question, sample rules, collection method, checked dates, and the procedure another reviewer can inspect.

Data

Dated evidence with clear provenance

A dataset identifies where observations came from, when they were checked, how records were normalized, and which values remain uncertain.

Limits

What the result does not prove

Directory availability, approval, publication, indexing, traffic, citations, and buyer behavior remain separate outcomes unless the study measures them directly.

Research record

Every public result maps a defined input to a limited conclusion.

The research record prevents observations, estimates, and product claims from being blended into one unsupported statement.

Question A specific launch, directory, workflow, or outcome question. A conclusion limited to the measured question.
Dataset Named sample, source provenance, inclusion rules, and checked dates. Published records or a clear evidence-access route.
Method Collection, normalization, comparison, and review procedure. A result another reviewer can reproduce or challenge.
Uncertainty Missing records, changing websites, sampling bias, and measurement limits. Visible caveats rather than hidden confidence.
Update state Owner, material update date, and triggers for re-checking. Current, superseded, or archived research status.
